Aliki is studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts conjoint degree in Physics and Philosophy at the University of Auckland. This pathway allows him to pursue his passion for both the sciences and the humanities, fostering his curiosity and broad interests. Through his studies, Aliki hopes to gain greater clarity about the career direction he wishes to follow. 

Aliki has spent two years at Dilworth School, where he has been heavily involved in the performing arts. Being the lead in the Diocesan/Dilworth musical in 2025, leading the Dilworth Sheilah Winn Shakespeare team to be accepted into the national finals, and also being a member of Dilworth’s premier choir Fortissimo, who received a Gold Award in 2025 at the Big Sing National Finale in Dunedin. Beyond his passion for the performing arts, Aliki has have been heavily involved in academics at Dilworth, gaining an Excellence endorsement at Level 2 with six Excellence course endorsements in Year 12, whilst also gaining the award for Top Subject Scholar in NCEA Scholarship Drama in New Zealand for 2024. 

Aliki is excited to move beyond school and begin his university journey, where he can continue exploring his wide-ranging interests across both the arts and sciences. He looks forward to the independence and new opportunities that university life will bring, allowing him to grow and flourish both academically and personally. 


Brian Zhao

Brian will begin his studies with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics, building on his strong record of achievement in academics, leadership, and service. He has earned NZQA Scholarship awards in Statistics and English, and completed the University of Auckland’s Mathematical Acceleration and eXtension programme (MAX199) with an A-. He has also achieved success in national competitions, including 3rd place at the 2025 National Secondary Schools Case Competition and strong results in debating at the Auckland regional level. 

Beyond academics, Brian has held key leadership positions, including Prefect, Vice-Captain of his house, and Head of the Service Committee, where he coordinated initiatives for various charities. He has captained both the School Chess Club and been a Senior Member of School Aid, combining strategic thinking with community contribution. 

His involvement in music, football, and cultural activities reflects his broad interests and ability to balance diverse commitments. Through these experiences, Brian has shown dedication, initiative, and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to both his school and wider community.  
In his free time, Brian enjoys improving his programming skills, looking at investing strategies and financial modelling, as well as pursuing new skills such as foreign languages and self-directed learning in emerging technologies.

Felix Miller
Prefect 2025

Felix will begin his studies at the University of Auckland with a conjoint degree in Engineering and Commerce, specialising in Accounting. His ambition is to become a Structural Engineer, with the ultimate goal of starting his own business by combining his engineering expertise with his accounting knowledge. This aspiration is inspired by his father, who runs his own business, and has motivated Felix to follow a similar path of leadership and independence. 

He is a well-rounded student, actively involved in academics, sports, leadership, and community service. Felix has achieved NCEA Level 1 and 2 with Excellence endorsements and continues to challenge himself by undertaking two scholarship subjects in Year 13: Accounting and Printmaking. So far this year, all of his Level 3 credits have been gained at the Excellence level. His strong academic record, combined with his determination and willingness to go above and beyond, reflects his drive to succeed in demanding environments. 

Sport is central to Felix’s life, especially football, where he was vice-captain of the Dilworth 1st XI. His perseverance has earned him “Most Improved Player” (2024) and “Most Valuable Player” at tournament week in both Year 12 and Year 13, when Dilworth achieved its best-ever third-place finish. He was a Prefect and Arts Committee Secondary Head, Felix also contributed to the Ball Committee and School Aid programme. 

Passionate about service, he has led a Ronald McDonald House fundraiser, volunteered in “Make and Donate,” and refereed and coached younger football players — consistently finding ways to support his school and community. 

Despite a challenging and complex upbringing, Felix has developed resilience, independence, and an unshakable commitment to growth. His experiences have shaped his ability to thrive under pressure, stay focused on his goals, and support others along the way.


Henry Kwon

Henry is planning to study a Bachelor of Science specialising in Biomedical Science, leading into a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Auckland. He intends to use this degree to better the health and wellbeing of his community. 

In his time at Dilworth, he served as the Deputy Head Prefect and Head of the Academic Committee, as well as leading Korean Language Week, which enabled him to leave a positive impact on the service, academic, and cultural aspects of the school. Alongside this, he was involved in a range of music and community groups including Fortissimo, Chamber Orchestra, Education Committee, School Aid, and Peer Support, showing his commitment to all areas. While managing leadership roles and wider curriculum activities, he stayed dedicated to his studies, gaining NCEA Excellence Endorsements in all three levels.  

Henry was privileged to participate in the Spirit of Adventure programme in 2023 and be a part of the international tour with Fortissimo in 2024. Through this, he gained valuable experiences that offered him a new perspective as he enters in another chapter of his life.

Joshua Futi

Joshua has a passion for creating change within the community, especially the Pasifika community and will do this through studying a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Auckland. He also has the dual passion for music and performance which he will explore through studying a Bachelor of Music. Both his passions, he believes, are his calling to changing the world one person at a time. 

He is a well-rounded young man who has been deeply involved in the cultural, social and political aspects of his school. Being Head Prefect, Head Chorister of Dilworth’s premiere choir Fortissimo, Head Student Leader of the Samoan group and Chairman of the Cultural Committee has meant that he was able to influence change in the many areas of Dilworth School. Joshua was able to maintain his responsibilities first and foremost as a student by endorsing NCEA level 1 and 2 at excellence which is a testament to his skills and determination.

Joshua has been blessed enough to be selected to spend a gap year (2025) in Northern Ireland at the Royal School of Dungannon as part of an Overseas Tutorship Programme. This blessing will give Joshua the opportunity to gain life experience and travel the world to bring home a fresh and new perspective to transfer into his studies.

Sean Lile

Sean is a creative and driven young leader pursuing a conjoint degree in Commerce and Spatial Design at the University of Auckland. Combining his passions for art, design, finance, and accounting, he hopes to create innovative, practical solutions that empower individuals and communities—particularly within Polynesian circles, where cultural and financial responsibilities often intersect. He views these as his God-given talents to uplift both his family and his people. 

Throughout his time at Dilworth, Sean has excelled in academics, leadership, arts, and service. He earned Excellence Endorsements in Levels 1 and 2, subject prizes in Art and Technology, and national recognition through the Pat Hanly Art Award, Rotary Club of Newmarket Technology Scholarship, and Aimata National Pacific Arts Award (1st in New Zealand). As Head Chorister of Fortissimo, Dilworth’s premier choir, he has represented New Zealand internationally, helped secure a Gold Award at The Big Sing Finale, and won Best Pasifika Composition. He also led the Tongan Group at Polyfest, inspiring peers through his blend of tradition, creativity, and leadership. 

Sean’s Polynesian heritage is central to his identity, shaping his character and drive to uplift others. Sonny Luong, who will be studying a conjoint degree in Engineering and Commerce at the University of Auckland in 2026, was deeply involved in a wide range of activities during his time at Dilworth. He participated in the Premier volleyball team, U17 basketball team, and cultural groups such as the Tongan, Samoan, and Cook Island groups. He also held leadership roles, serving as co-leader of the Service Committee, prefect for the Art and Tech Committee, and a school prefect, while playing in the concert band for six years. Additionally, Sonny has earned two excellence endorsements in NCEA and is working towards a third.  

In 2025, Sonny will take a gap year as a tutor at The Royal School of Dungannon in Northern Ireland, where he was one of only three successful applicants. This gap year will give him the opportunity to take a break from school, enjoy life, and learn more about himself, preparing him for the challenges of university. 


Soane Tavite

Soane aspires to become a qualified Physiotherapist, working with professional sports teams in high-performance environments before establishing his own clinic that integrates his personal and cultural values. His passion for sport and service is at the centre of his career goals, and he is determined to use his studies to improve the well-being of both athletes and the wider community. 

He is a well-rounded young man, involved in sporting, cultural, and leadership roles across Dilworth and beyond. As a Prefect, Tongan Group Leader, and Co-Leader of the Sports Committee, Soane has shown commitment to serving others and being a role model. In sport, he has been Vice-Captain of the Dilworth Premier Basketball Team, Captain of the Waitakere U18 Representative Team, and has achieved over 100 caps for Dilworth Basketball. Academically, he has earned NCEA Level 1 and 2 endorsements with Excellence, demonstrating resilience and determination. 

Soane’s leadership has also been recognised through his selection to the Inaugural Pacific Leadership Conference called Le Manumea. He continues to give back through volunteer work, including refereeing for junior basketball. His cultural pride, strong values, and drive to succeed highlight his readiness to thrive at AUT and make a meaningful impact through physiotherapy.
